Morning Session- 10am to Noon:

The morning is focused on those wanting to start a new business or expand an existing business. Learn how to prepare a Business Plan and hear from representatives of Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC) about their new funding-support programs. Representatives from Ulnooweg Development Corporation will also explain their funding-support programs and what you need to do to qualify.

Afternoon Session- 1pm to 4pm:

In the afternoon you will lean about the new Unama’ki ASEP Training Program and hear from representatives of local major industry about what job needs they have now and will have in the next few years. Representatives from Industry and the Nova Scotia Community College will also explain what training you should have or take to ensure you qualify for these jobs of the future. Alex Paul, the new Training Coordinator for the Unama’ki ASEP Program will explain how he may be able to help you get the training you need.
